Girls Night Out: Madonna

On Wednesday night, at 7:30, I was doing dishes in my sweatpants when I got a phone call.
"I just got two tickets to Madonna, we have to leave NOW."
Uh, hmmmm. Well, OK, but I have lots of work to do, and I have a shoot tomorrow morning at 7am, and I'm exhausted...not to mention I am in my sweats and we are leaving WHEN?
I'm in.
So I wore a hoodie to Madonna. Don't judge me, it wasn't my first choice, but when someone says Madonna and GO in the same sentence, you don't hesitate on wardrobe, you simply hope you don't bump into anyone you know.
I have never seen Madonna live in concert. Since I was 10 I have fantasized about it, and wondered if she would be every bit as sexy and amazing as I had imagined. Now, without a doubt, I can officially say YES. Yes she is.
The lighting and video projections were unreal, the choreography and dancing some of the best I have seen in years. Let's not, however, forget about the men in the show. Not only were these men gorgeous, but they were bouncing on wires and dislocating shoulders in a way that made me physically uncomfortable and intrigued simultaneously. I kept envisioning the audition process: "Hello, Greg, nice to meet you. Now can you please dance for us, do some acrobatics, then tie yourself into some insane knot that makes us long for nails on a chalkboard? Thanks."
The show was worth every penny I spent on it (HA), even though the next day was a little rough. Thank you for delivering, Madge, I knew you would.
Check out tour dates HERE, yo. Tell her we said hi.
*Have you seen the MDNA tour? I want to know what you think! Did the last number make you want to quit your job and try out for So You Think You Can Dance? Me TOO!
